Surrounded by gorgeous olive trees, this place felt peaceful, authentic, and removed from the rest of the world. We stayed just one night and enjoyed every moment of this lovely glimpse of the Italian countryside. There was also a charming little olive tree area by the parking spot. We were happy to pay the 15€ pet fee so we could enjoy the stay with our furry companion. A couple of small things to know: the road there is gravel, so the car can get quite dusty, and the nights felt a bit chilly indoors in late spring. Tea alongside the coffee would have been nice. We'd happily return for another relaxing stay.

Podere Il Tigliolo gave us the quiet and tranquility we wanted in the countryside, with clean, comfortable self catering accommodation. We stayed two nights in the Olivi apartment and had a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, garden, and terrace. It's a lovely place to tune back into Nature after a busy day sightseeing in Montalcino. It's very remote, 7kms from any shop, so make sure you stock up on groceries first. The season was still quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves. Hillwalks start just down the road to the left. We didn't have time for those, but enjoyed an hour and a half walk yesterday evening and watched the sunset.

The kids were happy with the pool, table tennis, and petanque, while we enjoyed the amazing views. The owner was very helpful. Be sure to bring food and wine.

The owner was very kind, and everything was perfect during our wonderful stay in this magical spot in the middle of the tuscan countryside, still just a short drive from montalcino.
