Villa La Floridiana

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely villa in a great spot on the lungomare. The hosts are wonderful and go out of their way to meet every need.

The main letdown was how inconvenient it was to get around and enjoy the sea. Although the water is beautiful and just 30 meters from Villa La Floridiana, reaching it means climbing down steep, dangerous rocks. We ended up having to drive several kilometers to get to the sea. Shops are limited too: there are only a couple of small ones in Leuca and a small supermarket outside town, with nothing within walking distance of the house. The terrace has high walls, so you can see the sea only from one small corner. Inside, the kitchen is nice and has attractive dishes, but the welcome supplies were a disappointment: the freselle (pastas) were expired and rancid, as was the oil, so we threw them away. The refrigerator only began cooling on the third day, which meant we couldn’t store food. There’s one air conditioner in the hallway, and it didn’t cool the rooms enough on the hottest days. We also had to leave the bedroom doors open, which affected our privacy. Other hassles added up. The only electric vehicle charging station in Leuca wasn’t working, so we drove 7 km to charge the car, and the town itself has very little to offer. We weren’t entirely happy with our stay. The sea and good food were the positives, but the general inconvenience kept us from enjoying them fully.

The owners were kind and always ready with suggestions for places to visit. We had a relaxing seaside week at Casa Vacanze Leuca, in a spacious, clean apartment with good furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s in a handy location, just steps from the center and the beautiful beach. We’d recommend it.

The owners really made our stay, they care so much about their guests’ well-being. We spent 10 days in Leuca, and this cozy little house on Punta Ristola was perfect for us and our girls. It was comfortable, cool, and well located. Leuca is beautiful, and the sea is stunning. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to come back soon.
