Aitna B&B

The location is great, and I got a really good parking recommendation after booking. Finding parking is essential when you're choosing somewhere to stay. The B&B is a short walk from that garage. The AC worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. I heard no street noise, but the door has a gap underneath, so sounds from late-arriving guests talking came straight through. Breakfast prep also meant sleeping was over once it started. The garden view was a brick wall with a few plants, as in the photos. I didn't like having to put used toilet paper in a bin instead of flushing it. Breakfast was disappointing in some ways: the ham and yoghurt seemed like discount types, the bread was underwhelming, and the juice was concentrate, not freshly squeezed. There was no croissant, though the homemade sponge and chocolate cake was nice. When I asked for help choosing a parking garage, the response was that they weren't a tourist office unless I booked first.

Sabina was a friendly host and available for our questions about the region. Her homemade cakes were fantastic, and breakfast made for an easy start, with fresh coffee, bread and deli items from a small buffet. The Blue bedroom was spacious and neat, with a pleasant street view of the Theatre. Our two nights at Sabina's B&B were very pleasant. It's very central in Catania, with most sights and places to eat within a 20-minute walk. For a car, the closest garage costs €25 a day. Cheaper options are available if you're willing to risk street parking. We recommend the B&B, and suggest booking directly with the host.

The room was spacious and spotless, and had a balcony looking toward the beautiful Bellini Theatre. Sabina was a wonderful, friendly host, and her breakfast cakes are to die for 😊 We loved our stay at Aitna B&B. We'd recommend it to everyone. Greetings from Poland! 🇵🇱

The location near the Bellini Theatre was great, and Sabina, the manager, was very kind, friendly and available when needed. But the breakfast was a letdown, with few choices and really bad coffee, so we went to a nearby coffee shop instead. The street in front is full of bars and was very noisy on Saturday night, though we don't know if it's like that every night. This didn't feel like a typical hotel to me. It's more like a large apartment with four rooms and a kitchen, with self check-in and no reception staff after lunchtime. I would have liked to know that beforehand, since I prefer a classic hotel. It's listed as a four-star hotel, but the door says three stars, and it didn't look like a four-star place anyway. The sheets were clean but very worn and damaged; there was one very worn but clean bathrobe for two people, and no bathroom slippers. Leaving luggage after checkout costs €5-7 per bag.
