For a price starting at €50, I don't think these apartments are worth it. I've stayed recently, and each time the same problems are still there: dirt on the dishes, cupboards, kitchen tools and pots, a yellow mark on a blanket, and a shower floor that's yellow with smears on the glass. There are also hundreds of mosquitoes and a sewer smell. The apartments themselves are nice, but they need a proper deep clean, and the kitchen should have the essentials. A B&B ought to be comfortable. The hygiene is poor enough that inspections could easily be called for.

The location was decent, but that was the only good part. Our ground floor apartment was incredibly hot and stuffy. The beds are on a windowless mezzanine, so I can only imagine how unbearable it gets in the middle of summer in Sicily. There are air conditioners, but they have to stay on 24/7, and we ended up with a nasty cold. There was also a bad smell in the bathroom and throughout the apartment. The price may be reasonable, but the place isn't worth it. An experience I'd rather forget, and I really can't recommend it.

The furnishings are nice, but the ground floor has a strong sewer smell.

Maria was so kind and helpful. The place has a lot of character and is spacious and pleasant. I'd recommend it.
