Appartamenti Della Rotonda

The owner was kind and flexible about what we needed, which made our conference stay easy. The place was spotless and well equipped, including air conditioning. Even the bathroom has a window as well as ventilation. We could walk to both the Benedictine Monastery and the city center in about 5 minutes.

It was quiet and clean, and the central location made it a good place to relax. Just keep in mind this is one 28-square-meter room, with the bed and kitchenette together, rather than an apartment. It's nicely renovated but small, and up four floors by a very narrow staircase. Carrying bags is a challenge, and so is going back to the car if you've forgotten something. Nuvola, the owner's dog, does sometimes make herself heard.

The managers were courteous and helpful. The apartment itself is compact but works pretty well, though I'd add a few more dishes and kitchen utensils since it has a kitchenette. Its central Catania location is excellent, and the neighborhood is quiet. The managers can't be blamed for the neglected condition of the surrounding streets. Because of the apartment's location, it isn't suitable for obese or disabled guests.

The owners were lovely and ready to help with anything we needed. The apartments are charming and have all the comforts. I highly recommend staying here.
