Archimedes suites

We spent four days here as two families. The apartments were spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, but what stood out most was how spotless and clean they were. It’s near a bus station and around a 15-minute walk from the city center.

Katia was a gracious hostess who remembered our names and the breakfasts we liked. Breakfast at the suites was a lovely extra. The suites were nicely furnished and especially handy for train travel. It’s about a 1 km walk to the central area, with lots of restaurants and monuments. Catania has many areas being refurbished, including this one. We felt safe wherever we went.

Breakfast in the lovely green yard was tasty, and the cappuccino was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and parking is close to the suites. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with consistently hot water and comfortable mattresses. It’s very close to the train and bus stations, though the city center isn’t that near, and walking late at night felt somewhat strange. For the price, it felt like a fair balance.

Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, really nice, and very clean, and there was free parking close to the building. It’s near the city center, airport, and port. The area around it felt a bit scary, though, with strange people walking around and lots of dirt on the roads.
