The location and cleanliness were the best parts. There’s also private parking available around the clock for 18 euros a day. I was in room 103, where the bedroom faced the street, and the car noise kept me from sleeping, so I used the living room sofa bed instead. Guests at the hotel bar stayed noisy past midnight, even with the windows shut.

It was dark when I arrived, and at first the place felt a little daunting. Once inside, though, it was a hidden gem, distinctive and beautifully done. I booked the suite with a terrace and enjoyed the view. It had everything I needed to cook for myself, and the staff were friendly and informative. The bed squeaked a bit, but they helped sort it out. I’d recommend it.

The apartment was clean, spacious enough, and as expected. The AC heating worked, and so did the washing machine. Just be aware that the hotel sits on a small hill that’s hard to notice on maps, so the walk back from the center involves a climb.

The building has a lovely, distinctive atmosphere and a shared garden, with 18 spacious, equipped flats. It’s tucked away a bit. The facilities are somewhat old, though.

I booked the last room the day before and lucked out with the top flat. The location was central, the service friendly, and the flat had what I needed, including an iron and board and a kitchen set. My only complaints were that the Wi-Fi didn’t work and there was live singing in the street below that night.
