They send you to a bar for breakfast, but you have to ask first, and all you get is one coffee and one pastry. No fruit, juice, or eggs. The kitchen was dirty and barely equipped, with just a spoon, a champagne glass, and four dirty plates. Our room had once been the breakfast area, I assume, and has a glass door. The bathroom was filthy, with hair and mold all over the shower. There was stale, stinking water in a washing machine that didn't work, and no bathrobes or toiletries. The nights were loud and the windows did nothing to block the noise. This isn't a bed and breakfast, and it feels like a scam. I wouldn't recommend it, and I don't understand how it got such good reviews.

The breakfast deal with Prestipino Duomo was a letdown. The elderly server spoke no English and seemed to go out of his way to embarrass guests using B&B coupons. I also raised a few other things with the owner directly. Still, over our four nights, the stay scored 9/10 for me as a B&B: excellent location, clean rooms, decent though imperfect facilities, and friendly, quick replies from Valentina.

Right by the fish market, with coffee shops, pastry places, and local sights all close at hand, this is a real hidden gem in the city center. Check-in went smoothly, and the friendly staff were happy to point us around town. The room was clean and had what we needed, including a roomy shower and bathroom. Thanks for a great opportunity to stay in such a lovely place.

The Etna room has no windows, which is why it costs less. There’s no breakfast, but the WiFi is excellent, and the air conditioning works well. The room was fine for a few nights. The B&B is centrally placed in Catania, about 100 meters from the Statue of Elephant in Piazza Duomo. From the airport, take the Alibus and ask for the Duomo stop. The ride is about 10 minutes and costs 4 euro one way, then it’s around 400 metres on foot to the B&B. Catania has a great vibe 😁

The location is hard to beat, right by the cathedral and just steps from a bus stop. The room was very clean and modern, with strong air conditioning, and the front desk staff were nice when they were around. But they couldn't sort out what I actually needed, like an airport ride. The credit card machine was down at arrival, so I had to pay cash. I booked because the listing said there was an airport shuttle, but that turned out not to be true. Despite being called a bed and breakfast, they don't serve breakfast either. There were kettles but no tea, coffee, or mugs, and the fridge didn't work and smelled like something had spoiled. The bathroom was dirty and looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80s, even though the bedroom was in good shape. I wish I'd rented an apartment instead.
