Matteo made the stay special, always kind and available with suggestions for local restaurants and places to visit. You can tell he cares about hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, thoughtfully prepared with fresh local products. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and comfortable, and I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Elephant's Smile is in a great spot for seeing Catania, near the main sights but still peaceful. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Catania.

Matteo was friendly, helpful and always around when I needed advice. Everything was organized well, which made the trip stress-free. My room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. I had an excellent stay at Elephant's Smile and highly recommend it.

All five of us adults were shocked when we arrived. The place is very clean, but it looked nothing like the photos. The rooms and bathrooms are badly outdated and need renovation. I know it’s an old building, but the plumbing is a problem, and the strong bathroom odor needs attention. The courtyard also needs repairs. The one good thing was the service, they took care of requests as needed. We made the best of it because moving would have been a hassle.

Elephants Smile B&B was a great base for exploring. It’s about a slow fifteen-minute walk toward the centre, so we never needed buses. The beds were comfy, the room clean, the shower good and the air-con worked well. We were out most of the time, so I can’t say anything about the staff, TV or breakfast. Our host got back to us quickly when we initially struggled with the keys. Turn right, then left! We had a lovely stay.
