Ferrini Home Piazza Trento

Clean, nicely designed, and in a good area close to lots of popular spots.

The apartment has the basics for two people, and I appreciated the mosquito nets and security bars on the window and door. Since it opens directly onto a small alley at street level, those features felt essential. The laundry room has soap and a washing machine, but no clothesline or clothespins. There's no information about airport transfers either. This seems better suited to a stay of a few days than a long visit. Of the services listed, free Wi-Fi is the only clear advantage. Cleaning isn't daily, and I missed having a broom, dustpan, bucket, and mop. I wasn't sure whether all the other advertised services were actually available. They asked us to pay in cash, although the information says cards are accepted. Parking is on the street, which can be difficult in central Catania. It's paid blue-zone parking on weekdays, but free on holidays and at night.

The bed was comfortable, and you can easily reach the center of Catania on foot. It's a decent B&B in a central location. The bathroom was average, though not especially nice.

For the price, the quality is fair, but I wasn't satisfied at all. The mini-apartment was very uncomfortable and not very clean. It also wasn't conveniently close to the city center. The front door opens onto the street, which wasn't convenient with the kids.
