Palazzo Speciale B&B

Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished, and it felt like somewhere we'd be glad to return to. The place is close to Catania's points of interest and easy to reach by public transport. The owner was very helpful and gave us good recommendations. Thank you, Angelo.

Angelo was a kind, attentive and very helpful host. We could ask him anything, and he helped right away. Breakfast was varied and really tasty. The day before, we agreed with Angelo on what we'd like to have the following morning. The location was perfect for exploring Catania, with the city center, bus station and train station all within walking distance. We're completely satisfied and will book this B&B again whenever we return. Fully recommended.

Angelo gave me lots of suggestions for things to do and restaurants to try while I was traveling solo. The huge room was clean, and the location was fantastic, right beside the fish market with plenty of restaurants and bars. If you're coming to explore Catania, you've got to stay here!

From the dirty street, the building looks plain, but through the door there's a grand old palazzo and an interior courtyard. Much of it is still waiting to be restored, while the renovated rooms are grand, high-ceilinged and well-equipped. It's just around the corner from the famous open fish market. Walk past the outdoor tables of a couple of bustling restaurants and you'll reach the car-free zone, with its huge plaza, elephant and illuminated facades. The owner and his family live on an upper floor. He's friendly and happy to help when needed, but otherwise you're on your own.
