The only thing going for this place is how close it is to the main attractions. The rooms are cramped, with the beds taking up most of the space, and the attic room I was given had a tiny window and a fan that only pushed hot air around. The bathroom was awful too, since the shower water didn't drain fast enough and went everywhere. It's beside a train track and a bar, so the noise carries on even though guests are told to be quiet after 11pm. Getting the room was a whole ordeal. I arrived late and was told to check in the next morning, so as a woman travelling alone at 11pm I stayed elsewhere that first night. When I went back, nobody was there. The woman I called was incredibly rude, said I'd missed my check-in date and couldn't come in, and kept hanging up on me. A young man finally came after I threatened to call the police, and we had to go through the whole process again. I refused to leave and said I'd call the police over the misleading booking and money they'd taken. Only then did they give me the room I'd paid for. The photos can be misleading, and the staff were rude. Avoid it unless poor service and bad accommodation are fine with you.

We'd prepaid for two rooms with balconies, but neither room had one, and there was no refund. The shower fitting in one room was broken, and the young man suggested we'd broken it ourselves and said we'd be charged at checkout. It all started when we arrived late and nobody answered the contact number. The number on both the confirmation and the hotel door turned out to be wrong, so we had to find another hotel for the first night. We weren't refunded for that night either, even though our stay was prepaid. When we eventually met someone at the hotel, he was a new employee who knew absolutely nothing and said he had to speak to his boss. And all of this happened in just one day. More to come...

The staff were wonderful, friendly and really helpful, but I can't recommend the place for the price. My double room cost 47 euro a night and was meant to have a balcony, but there wasn't one. The pictures looked beautiful. The room itself was okay-ish, only it was very hot, with no air conditioning and just a dusty fan that wasn't enough. The window faced right over the train track, so it was noisy. The building is old and on the second floor with no lift, and the stairs are uncomfortable. My room was up another steep, narrow flight, which would be dangerous with heavy luggage. Fine in an emergency, but that's about it.

The receptionist was great, but there's no 24-hour reception. The attic room was unbearably hot, even with the little fan above the bed running. The two rooms we rented had no air conditioning. Also, it's just rooms for rent, with no shared living room or kitchen. Too expensive for what they offer.
