Edina was so friendly and helpful from the moment I booked, and even helped me arrange the Mount Etna trek I was keen to do. I had a wonderful stay at Homestay. The room was just right, and the shared spaces were great too. The rooftop terrace was a real highlight, with views over all of Catania and impressive Mount Etna. Many of the main attractions and restaurants are within walking distance, so the location worked really well.
We slept really well in our room with its own bathroom, and the apartment was spotless, beautifully furnished, and very central while still reasonably quiet. The roof terrace was a dream. Edina and Paolo are among the warmest, most helpful hosts we've had, and their tips gave our Sicily trip a great start. We'd absolutely stay again if we return to Catania.
I could see the lava on Mt. Etna from the terrace, which was a huge plus, along with the hostess and her recommendations. She has put so much of herself into this place that it felt more like house-sitting than being a paying guest. A wonderful place in Catania, highly recommend it.
Edina, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, and we had a really nice time in the apartment. Coffee and cupcakes were provided for free, perfect for little snacks in the morning or afternoon. The location is spot on, about a five-minute walk to everywhere we needed to go. We'll definitely return when we're in Catania and would recommend it to others.
The care put into the rooms really shows, and they’re beautiful. The apartment has the amenities you could need, including a coffee maker and some delicious treats, and the terrace is gorgeous. The hosts are generous and welcoming, happy to share local advice so you can make the most of Catania. I loved staying at Homestay and honestly didn't want to leave. Thanks for everything!
