The owner was really nice and polite, and the price was good for the quality. The room was large and clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being right in the city centre. I’d definitely recommend it!

Hotel Gorizia is ideally placed for a short visit when time is limited, though the large, well-furnished rooms would suit a longer stay too. The Cathedral of St Agatha is literally a two-minute walk around the corner, and Catania’s main sights are within ten minutes on foot. The train station is fairly close as well, under a 20-minute walk. My room was very big and clean, with a kettle and fridge, which I found handy. I was really positively surprised by the hotel. It’s probably one of the most central places to stay in Catania, and I highly recommend it.

Salvo, the owner, is a great guy. It’s a budget hotel, so don’t expect all the thrills, but my room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely balcony, fridge, and kettle. For these prices, if you want to be right in the centre, you won’t find a better place.

Fair prices and clean rooms, with a toilet, towels changed daily, and breakfast included. The hotel is well located near Catania city centre. Just note that breakfast is served at a nearby coffeehouse and consists of coffee and a croissant, so it’s smaller than a standard European breakfast.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is excellent and central. A friendly family runs the hotel.
