The staff were great and got us in at short notice, and the pool was a welcome way to cool off after a hot day. The beer at the pool bar was cold too. Our room was small but nice, though the shower was tiny and leaked onto the floor. My air conditioning didn't work, and the fan only moved the hot air around. Breakfast was free, but the choice was limited to breads. A short walk down the road, we came across a street carnival with lots of food trucks. I found a really good panini, or sandwich as I call it. I couldn't read the menu in Italiano, so I asked a local to order what he was having, and I'm glad I did.

The pool is beautiful, the restaurant is good, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. But the rooms feel dated and dusty, the air conditioning doesn't work well, and the bathrooms are very old with poor lighting. There was a late party at the pool, with loud music that went on so long I couldn't sleep. They offered to move me for the night, but I declined because packing everything up would have taken forever. They should stop loud music after 10pm out of respect for other guests.

The hotel has a pool and a way to reach the sea through a half tunnel, which is something special. Our room was clean and had a balcony. It's a very nice, comfortable place, the staff are polite, and the service is excellent. Breakfast could have more variety.

The dining staff really made our stay, and everyone at the hotel was lovely. The pool was great, cleaned and serviced daily, and everything ran smoothly. We had a fabulous week there. Thank you hotel nettuno .

Other staff members were very sweet, and the room was clean. But I'd booked a Seaview room and arrived to a wall outside the window. Alessandro at reception insisted I'd booked a “classic” room when I pointed this out, and wasn't helpful about it. I came to sunny Catania imagining espresso with a view of the Mediterranean, not trying to spot the sea with binoculars. Would I come back? Only if Alessandro starts giving tours of those “imaginary amenities.” The room was clean, but anyone hoping for Seaview should probably bring a painting of the sea.
