I Lumi

The location made it easy to explore, with the main attractions and city center only a short walk away. I Lumi Hotel is beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I’d highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

My room was spacious enough to feel like a charming mini-suite, with a comfortable queen-size bed, a cozy sitting area with a sofa and desk, and a private bathroom with a shower and bidet. Each morning after sightseeing, I came back to a neatly made bed and refreshed linen. The hosts at Hotel I Lumi welcomed me warmly on arrival, explained the property, and shared useful local tips. Piazza del Duomo is around 300 m away, and Castello Ursino and the fish market are a 3-5 minute walk. It was a lovely base for exploring Catania.

The room was huge and beautiful, almost like being in a palace, and ours had a balcony too. It’s in a lovely part of Catania, near markets selling fresh fruit, vegetables, and seafood, with several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was light, with croissants, cakes, coffee, tea, and more. They also gave us a free bottle of white wine 🍾😁 We had a very pleasant stay, thank you.

The room was clean, quiet at night, and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The location is excellent, with the main attractions within walking distance, and the price felt fair. But they only take cash, despite booking sites saying they accept credit cards. Check-in outside the stated hours costs €20, also payable in cash. They’re difficult to reach by phone, there’s no sign at the street entrance, and the intercom doesn’t work.
