The apartment was very dark, with just one small window, no soundproofing, poor heating and a sagging bed. The host was extremely rude. Before I arrived, he sent wifi instructions and the listing said it worked throughout the apartment. Once there, he said they were having problems and maybe a new router would arrive, then asked, “you’re on holiday why would you need it?” I was staying for two weeks, and it was more than just a holiday for me. He wouldn't admit there was a problem or apologise, and instead told me, “good luck finding another apartment for this price”. After an hour on the phone with Booking, I eventually got him to accept the cancellation.

One star is the lowest I can give. I can't review the property itself because my prepaid reservation was cancelled without any notice. The property offered me a Covid voucher that I could use depending on their future availability. At the end of 2021, we agreed I'd use it for a stay in June 2022. Since time had passed, I contacted them again at the end of April 2022 to confirm the June dates. Only then did they tell me the apartment had been booked for a long period that included my dates. They said to contact Booking.com for a refund, but Booking.com told me the management company had to issue it, since they only act as an intermediary. The “manager” has blocked me everywhere, so I can't reach them anymore. Dishonesty and unprofessionalism seem to be the order of the day with these people.

The room was clean, and the place is close to the centre. It's only five minutes to the cathedral. I'll be back.
