Valentina was really nice. My Italian wasn't perfect, but she did her best to make sure we understood each other. Arriving was easy and flexible, and the room was very full :)

I strongly advise against booking this hotel. My flight was delayed, and even though I contacted them by phone, they cancelled my stay. When I arrived the next morning, they didn't provide a room or even give me a partial refund. I've heard this is standard practice at this location, so beware.

The rooms face a lovely courtyard, which makes this central little place surprisingly quiet. It's cozy and compact, with simple touches that work well. A fresh coffee in the morning and Valentina's welcoming smile made us feel at home. We loved our stay here. It would work well for an overnight before a flight or as a base for traveling around Sicily.

At Hotel Il Daviduccio I never got to stay in the room, but still had to pay for it. When I arrived a little late for check-in, the staff told me my options were to cancel and lose my money, or pay cash at a different rate from the one I booked, without using the booking website. I felt pushed into something I didn't want to do. When I said it wasn't fair, they wouldn't let me cancel the reservation. I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel, and I hope nobody else has to go through it.

No kitchenette or kettle, so there was no way to make tea or coffee ourselves. We were only allowed one coffee or tea a day, and extra servings cost more. Ridiculous. Valentina was rude and had no people skills. Absolutely terrible.
