The neighborhood felt quiet and safe, with a bus stop nearby that we used to get to the airport. Everything else was close too, and there's even a restaurant in the building. Inside, the place has a lot of character, from the lovely ceiling frescoes to the modern interior. We felt well looked after by the host. I'd happily come back to Sergio's apartment and recommend it.

Sergio was always available with useful information and suggestions for making the most of our time in Catania. We were a family and booked two rooms, both spacious, with private bathrooms, lovely floors, and frescoed ceilings. The shared kitchen was large and set up for breakfast, with water, yogurt, and fruit in the fridge for a quick snack when we arrived or came back from seeing the city and nearby sights. The location was close to the center but still quiet and peaceful, and finding parking was easy. We'd stay here again if we return to Catania.

The owner's kindness is what stayed with me most. I couldn't sleep because of my insomnia and some small children crying in the neighboring room, so I wasn't able to stay the night. He understood completely and kindly suggested I find somewhere else, without charging me for the room I'd booked. I'd only been at B&B Mungibeddu briefly, but the place made a very positive impression. It's carefully kept, and my room was spotless, nicely furnished, and had the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The location is convenient for visiting central Catania on foot, without a car. It's a welcoming, professionally run place, and I highly recommend it.

The old building has four rooms, an entrance hall, and a shared kitchen, and the rooms have lovely frescoed ceilings. The kitchen was well stocked, with yogurt, fresh fruit, drinks, ice cream in the freezer, and what we needed to make breakfast there. Sergio was always kind and ready with useful tips for seeing Catania. The rooms are soundproofed, which helps with the traffic outside. Mungibeddu is a very welcoming B&B I'd recommend to anyone visiting the city.
