Dust was everywhere, the faucets were dirty and covered in limescale, and the sheets had damp marks beneath the bedspread. Getting to the room was rough too: after we came through the main entrance, we found there was no elevator and had to haul our suitcases up four flights with no help. We didn't even know which floor to go to. Before arriving, we'd tried calling several times and never got an answer. Abandon all hope, ye who enter...

Everything was new, modern, and clean, and the photos were current. We found the main street, a supermarket, and a café close by. The owner and staff were all so friendly and always ready to help. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

A report from our arrival in Catania: nobody came for check-in. We contacted Booking.com and realized no one was going to show up, so at 8 pm we had to find another place. If only we knew where to find them, we'd headbutt them in the teeth.

The host lives in the building and speaks a little English. Our room had air conditioning, daily cleaning, and a capsule espresso machine. There isn't a kitchen, so breakfast means coffee and a croissant at a nearby restaurant. We found the place by chance after another "hotelier" introduced us. It's in a great spot, close to lots of restaurants but still quiet.

Right in the center of Catania, this brand new place is close to plenty of spots to meet up with friends. The owner was very kind and always available to help with what guests needed. Everything was super clean. I highly recommend it!
