Puccini apartment

A very clean hostel, kept in great shape. The staff were lovely, and the towels and sheets were clean too. Recommended.

We brought our dog and stayed here with the family a few days ago. The apartment is roomy, with a comfortable sitting area by the entrance, a fully equipped kitchen and a coffee maker that I really appreciated. There are two triple bedrooms, so it works well for a big family or two families. The owner's B&B is next door. Elena was so kind and always available, with lots of useful tips, including a nearby paid car park. We left the car there for three days and explored on foot, with the subway practically at the door as another easy option. The location is a real strength, between Corso Sicilia, Via Puccini and Piazza Stesicoro, where the huge daily fair has all sorts of things. It's right in the heart of Catania's city center, near Via Etnea, Piazza Università, Piazza Duomo, the Piscaria, cafés, markets and great shops. I'd happily stay again on a future visit to Catania.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and took care of every request at breakfast, which was delicious. The apartment has a pair of comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room in the entrance hall, and a kitchen with a coffee machine. I highly recommend it.

We liked how easy it was to walk around from this central spot, just behind Via Etnea, and there was public transport nearby too. The room was clean and private, with lots of space, a well-equipped bathroom and a very large shower. It also had a minibar, kettle and cups, TV, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. At the entrance there are tables where you can sit and relax, plus a coffee machine. Downstairs from the B&B you'll find a lively market, supermarket, banks and other useful services. We'll definitely come back to Catania and B&B Puccini for all this and the kindness of the sisters who run it.
