San Placido House

The area is very central, but still quiet and safe. There’s a lovely terrace where you can see Etna and the port across the way. Pepa, the host, is sweet and caring and makes you feel at home. Her breakfast is the best, and you can enjoy it outside on the terrace. The rooms are beautiful, cozy, and clean. Best place to stay in Catania!

Peppa was a wonderful host, warm and welcoming, and made us feel like we were visiting an old friend. She was helpful with recommendations and seemed to really care about how our stay was going. The terrace was the highlight for me, having coffee and looking out at Mount Etna. The B&B is right in the middle of the city, close to all the main spots, but it still feels like a quiet escape.

Breakfast on the terrace is a joy, with views over the baroque churches and Etna quietly smoking in the distance. Orazio is the perfect host, and Pepa makes sure I get delicious market fruit each morning. The rooms are spacious, the beds are excellent, and so are the showers. It feels like home, which is why I always stay here when I’m in Catania. The location is central and easy to access, including by lift.

Peppa welcomed us warmly and took such good care of us. The breakfast was very good compared with other B&Bs in this price range, and the place is right in the city center.
