Stesicorea Palace

The staff were very friendly, and the location is great if you’re not planning to spend too much time at the beach. The rooms weren’t great, though: two single beds pushed together to make a double, and the view was of McDonald’s air con units and the roof. When you opened the balcony doors, all you could smell was Big Macs after 11 a.m. Before then it was the breakfast menu 😂.

We’ve come back for a second stay because we liked this hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are very helpful. My wife had an issue with her camera, and the receptionist pointed us to somewhere that could repair it. It’s central, close to the market and both the bus and train station. Our pick for staying in Catania.

The staff are fantastic and will go a long way to help. The place is cheap, but it badly needs an upgrade, and even cleanliness is suffering. It wouldn’t take much to do the basics and freshen the rooms with a brush and a few kilos of paint. Come on Stesicorea, justify the world Palace. You can do it for so little.

The pictures were nothing like the actual place. We stayed one night because we arrived late, then left the next morning and booked somewhere else. The surroundings, hotel entrance, rooms, and bathroom were all dirty. The shower had black stains and the walls were crumbling. Very, very bad experience. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at so far. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
