Suite Inn Catania

The reception ladies were so friendly and helpful. It’s a very nice place, and if I’m back in Catania I’ll book here again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the optional breakfast was well worth having. It’s a quiet, secure place with a clean room and nice beds, just a short walk from the city center. If you’re coming from the airport on the Alibus, get off at the first stop near the hotel.

The morning hospitality really made our stay. We were heading out to eat at a local cafe when the host caught us and offered cappuccino, then told us breakfast was included. We stayed for it, and there was yogurt, muesli, toast, fresh croissants, bread, cold meats, and coffee. Jane was lovely and made those last 30 minutes of breakfast special. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with brand new air conditioning, and having a parking spot was very handy. The place is right in the center, just a couple of minutes from the main sights, local bars, and the fun arts district. It may look a bit rough at first, but we really liked the area. We’d recommend it to friends visiting.

We were disappointed by the lack of care after finding a pillowcase with what looked like dried blood when we checked in. Staff said it was dry and therefore no problem, and only changed it after we raised it. There was no apology or accountability for something like that in a room meant to be clean and ready. The pillowcase was eventually replaced, but we weren't offered breakfast, and we removed it before sleeping because staff leave at 2:30pm each day. Nothing was done to address the situation, and they blamed my wife for bleeding on the pillow. Cleanliness and customer care are basic expectations, and neither was met.
