Hotel Emma

The price was definitely attractive, though compared with other 3-star hotels nearby, this one leaves a bit to be desired. Breakfast was disappointing. The staff were friendly, but we couldn't use the bikes we requested because they weren't available that day, and the only ones there needed repairs. The property is very close to the sea but a little dated, with no particular amenities. Parking nearby is impossible, though free parking is available 500 meters away. The room was a decent size, the bed comfortable, and the shower large. The bathroom was comfortable even for four people. Cleanliness was decent.

The only good thing was the central location in Cattolica, less than 300 meters from the beach. Everything else was a disappointment. We booked a twin room for two because it was the only option on Booking, but the room we got was about 5 square meters and completely unsuitable for two. The beds were lined up, so we slept feet-to-feet. The furniture was shabby and dated, the walls were plasterboard, and we could hear everything from the hallway and next room. The staff weren't especially friendly, particularly the night porter. One night, after a stroll in Riccione, we got back around 2:00 and found the hotel closed. We rang the bell and the barefoot, sleepy porter opened up and asked who we were. We gave our room number and asked if we could sit outside, but he sounded annoyed and said, "I went to sleep," making it clear that we couldn't. Breakfast was so meager that my boyfriend didn't even eat it. A terrible stay. I would never recommend this place.

We left feeling relaxed and grateful, and as if we'd been welcomed into someone's home. The Emma Hotel is right in central Cattolica, just 100 meters from the beach. Francesco and his family greeted us with a warmth that's rare to find, and were ready to help with whatever we needed. The rooms are simple but clean and practical. When we needed a mini fridge for our baby's milk, they brought one as soon as we asked. The hotel has a partnership with a fantastic, well-equipped hotel, paid parking nearby, and excellent food with a good selection and presentation. Our week went by so quickly that I would gladly have stayed longer. Thank you!

Hotel Emma feels like one big family, and everyone was welcoming and courteous. The self-service meals were excellent, and we could choose lunch and dinner on the spot instead of deciding ahead of time. Rooms were average but clean, with A/C, Wi-Fi, and fans. There are free bicycles, and the partner beach is 70 meters away. The pedestrian street and all its shops are just steps from the hotel.
