Ristorante Locanda Centrale

We stopped for lunch on the way to Soprabolzano and found a real gem. The outdoor tables look over the piazza, the dishes were delicious, and the service was very friendly. There was a decent wine selection too.

The welcome was lovely, and the staff were patient with us. We had tagliatelle tartufo, spaghetti scalpi, and a ragoût, all excellent. For dessert, the homemade chocolate cake with pistachios ice cream was a dream. Everything came together just as we'd hoped at a restaurant, and we'll be back soon. Thanks for such a great first impression. We absolutely recommend it.

It's easy to pass right by Cavaion on the way into the mountains or toward valpolicella, but it's worth stopping here. The menu has a real local feel, with bigoli, pesce di lago, and other dishes. Ask the staff what they recommend and trust their judgment. The food is excellent, and so is the wine list. A standout in a small town.

The pasta was cooked beautifully al dente and the food was very well seasoned. We sat on the balcony, with lovely views over the hills and lively nearby towns, even though there’s a building close by. The restaurant is small, but the staff will kindly make space for larger groups. Service was quick and the waiters had a good sense of humor. Parking is easy, with a fairly large lot nearby. I’d happily come back and recommend it to travelers after classic Italian food in a romantic setting.
