Lory made everything easy, even when we had to change our arrival time at short notice. She adjusted perfectly and handed over the house early, with a smile and no fuss. She was friendly and helpful, spoke several languages including German, and gave us useful tips for our first day. After a brief orientation, we paid the €100 deposit and got the key. The house is clean, carefully furnished, and spread across three levels. We felt at home right away. The children had a bedroom with its own bathroom, and so did we, which made mornings much easier. A car is the best way to reach the nicest places, shops, and restaurants around Lake Garda. We especially enjoyed Aquapark Cavour, fun for all ages; Osteria Nori in Verona, with incredibly good food; and Pizzeria Il Caminetto, where the pizza was fantastic, the prices fair, and the service friendly. Reservations for the courtyard are recommended. For a swim, Brenzone sul Garda has a quiet pebble beach with a beautiful view. Verona and Venice are both worth day trips. In Venice, we were advised that a 30-minute gondola ride shouldn't cost more than €90. For breakfast, Bar Centrale has delicious oven-fresh croissants and a stunning view over Lake Garda.
