The spa was the best part of the stay for me. It’s a modest, classical-style space in the basement with faux marble statues, a caldarium, tepidarium, steam room and showers. I also had a massage each evening during our three nights there. The therapist was very skilled, and after a day on the mountains she eased all that muscle fatigue and left me feeling completely relaxed. I was there on a short ski trip with my father. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and spoke good English. Our room was clean, cozy and well kept. It opened onto a balcony with a lovely view, especially nice to wake up to after fresh snow overnight. The food menu could be bigger. Cavalese is about a 15-minute walk away, so if you want lots of food choices right in town, this may not be the best spot. I liked having the walk, though. It gave me a chance to switch off and take in the valley.

After a long walk, it was lovely to wind down with the sauna and pool. The location also made it easy to get to Val Di Fiemme Adventures. We had a delightful holiday. The food was lovely, and the service was great. The staff were happy to help with everything, from extra pillows and our dog’s needs to a last-minute change to the food order. The room was lovely too, with a great balcony view. It did get too hot, though, and there was no airflow because it only faced one side. It’s a beautiful hotel and works well for families or people travelling with pets.

The scenery was beautiful, but the rooms felt a little stuffy.

Nello stood out for his professional, courteous, and helpful service. The hotel also has an exceptional spa, and the views are beautiful, making it a relaxing place to stay. Hotel Lagorai in Cavalese has elegant rooms, and the restaurant serves excellent Italian and international cuisine. The whole place feels luxurious, with excellent service.

The location and property are fantastic, and one waiter was a bright spot. Most of the staff, though, seemed unhappy at work and never smiled. The amenities were disappointing too. I used the same plastic glass for four days because it was never replaced, and the maid did the minimum. The towels were low quality and didn’t dry me after a shower. If management improved these things, I’d recommend the hotel and come back. As it is, I wouldn’t.
