Set among the mountains, this was a wonderful place to stay. It cost 43€ a night plus tax, and using the washing machine was free. The staff were lovely, and each pitch had water and electricity, though they only came together as one complete package. The washrooms were nice, with two toilets and four showers. There isn’t much room to store things in the shower area, so I’d recommend bringing a bathrobe :)
Jara was a wonderful host. We had a great time relaxing and resting here. Thank you so much for your hospitality, it was the perfect place.
Dro, the nearest market, is about 8km away. This is a lovely spot with a fantastic view, and the owner was kind and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The trees are still a bit small, so there’s no shade yet, but in a few years it should be paradise. There’s a sauna and a small pool, and they sell really nice local olive oil. I’d definitely recommend it and would come back when visiting Garda again.
The camping area was clean, but very basic, with nothing beyond the bathrooms. The woman at the desk was very kind. They charge by pitch, so as a hiker with a small solo tent I ended up paying 36€, which felt pretty steep in those circumstances.
The hosts put a lot of care into the details, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The grass pitches were perfect, the facilities clean, and the staff kind and friendly. There’s even a sauna. The lovely campsite is near the lake and surrounded by vineyards.
