Appartamento Osnao

The only good part was getting the money back later, without a penalty, after we contacted Booking.com. We arrived in Cefalù at 11:00 PM on September 18th after a long trip, and the trouble started right away. We were three people but were given a two-level apartment. The Booking.com photos showed different apartments at the property, so we couldn't tell whether they matched what we'd booked and paid for in advance. Getting to the place meant walking down a narrow street in the historic center, then hauling our bags up steep, narrow stairs with low ceilings. It was difficult and felt dangerous. Inside, one room's air conditioning didn't work. There was a nauseating smell from cat feces and urine outside, and the bathrooms couldn't be used: the toilet was in the shower tray, as shown in the real photos attached, and the linens were dirty. After we called the owner and talked through the problems, we said how disappointed we were. We were then told to leave immediately, with no alternative for the night. Other places had limited immediate availability, so we had to pay a lot for a hotel that didn't meet our needs. The many negative reviews online also seem to support what we experienced.
