The breakfast was pretty decent, with enough variety for most needs. At checkout, the manager was incredibly nice and gave us a very generous discount on parking because of what we'd experienced. Those were welcome positives during our five-night stay. The hotel's location is brilliant, with a lovely seafront walk to Cefalu old town, and our room was a decent size, though VERY basic, with chipped furniture and barely the minimum amenities. The building feels dated and tired and needs some TLC. Our bathroom needed a deep clean, with black would spots and weird crap along the shower screen edge. The staff's attitude was the main problem. Reception barely acknowledged us, the bar seemed to have nobody tending it, and the housekeepers were lazy. Our room wasn't cleaned on Sunday because there were supposedly a lot of checkouts. The sheets weren't changed until I complained, and we only got clean ones on our last night. Two housekeepers argued with each other and with me in the room about the sheets. I was so embarrassed that I asked them to forget it and leave. Then they calmed down, changed the sheets, and cleaned the room. I was also looking forward to using the gorgeous pool, but it closes from 13:00 to 16:00. I love swimming and only got to use it once during our stay. That might not be a deal breaker for everyone, but it's worth knowing.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the bar prices were good. The staff were all really pleasant, and the pool area was kept up well. The rooms are simple, but with the beach, pool, and town nearby, we had everything we needed at Hotel Tourist.

The location is good and breakfast was okay, but the rest felt more like a hostel than a three-star hotel. Everything seemed cheap and the rooms weren't comfortable. The pool didn't seem suitable for kids, and the internet kept cutting out and was down for a long time. They charged for parking, and also wanted money to access the beach, even though it was open to the public.

The staff were very nice, and the place was clean throughout. There’s a pool and a nearby private beach, though you pay extra for the beach. The hotel feels a bit dated for what it costs, but the location is great.

The room was very basic, so this was really just somewhere to sleep in Cefalu. Parking cost us €15. The woman at reception said we had to pay to use the beach across the street, and claimed there was no sand. It turned out to be a sandy beach that was free to access.
