Pater Meus Suites

The setting is charming, with a lovely view of Cefalu, and the accommodation is new and clean. The stay still left us with an unpleasant memory. Though marketed as suites at an upper-range price, the extra bed in the kitchen was like a wooden pallet with a thin mattress. The kitchen extractor didn't work, leaving smells and heat. There was just one air conditioner for the whole property, so only the main bedroom got cooled. The children had to sleep on the uncomfortable bed in rooms that weren't cooled. The pool seemed to be latex with a nice-looking finish, or perhaps just made up. At checkout, we were repeatedly asked for €20 for a coffee cup we admit we broke. We were also accused of breaking a nightlight, though we'd carefully put it in the cupboard when we arrived. Remember to add the €2 per person per night fee for children over two. What a shame.

We had a wonderful holiday at Pater Meus. The apartment was fully equipped, with drinks in the fridge and coffee, plus oil and salt if you wanted to fry an egg. The service was excellent. Its beautiful position gives you a magnificent view of Cefalù, the sea, and La Rocca.

Everything looked new and was very well cared for, with tasteful decor. The poolside sunbathing area was lovely, and there were comfortable places to sit. We were given a very warm welcome. Highly recommended!

We were really happy with the stay. The apartment had everything we needed, including drinks, personal care items, coffee, sugar, salt, and oil. Those thoughtful little extras make a difference. We'd recommend it.
