Our villa had a kitchen and an outdoor patio where we sat for Easter brunch, and we can’t wait to return next year. It was a villa for four, though there are larger ones across the immense property, arranged so guests can have privacy. The restored hamlet has five villas and has kept its authentic character. Set in the heart of Tuscia, near Viterbo and Rome, it’s a beautiful, magical place with stunning scenery and a good base for visiting medieval Orvieto, Celleno, the ghost village, Bolsena, and Bagnoregio, the city suspended between the clouds. There’s also a magnificent pool, a multi-purpose field for football, tennis, and basketball, and a large flat area for yoga or pilates. A lush forest runs through the grounds, crossed by the Rio Grande, which ends at a spectacular waterfall.

We were lucky to spend a week at this “Borgo.” The houses were clean and beautiful, and the landscape was incredible. It’s a charming, relaxing place, and we hope to return soon. Special thanks to Annarita, the caretaker, who was fantastic.

We loved the walks by the stream running through the property, especially with that spectacular waterfall. Then there are the evenings by the fireplace and grill. The renovated farmhouses keep the local style and have all the comforts and amenities, with lovely taste. The place is secluded but close to charming villages, and it works for couples, families, groups of friends, and dogs. A special mention for the two caretakers, who are kind and keep everything in perfect shape. It’s a wonderful, peaceful escape from the busy pace of life, and a great place to recharge.

The panoramic pool and private waterfall give the place a special atmosphere. It’s an enchanting spot in the Tuscia countryside, surrounded by woods, trails, and waterfalls, with plenty of room for peaceful walks. The stone farmhouses are carefully maintained and have the comfort, character, and amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Time seems to stop here. A great break from the city, even with your four-legged friends. A superb experience.
