😃The park, the house, the room, and especially the magnificent sea view. The location was great too. ☹️The owner's welcome could have been warmer. Serving breakfast on plastic plates and with plastic cups and cutlery felt inelegant and not at all eco-friendly in 2021.

The things we appreciated most were the peaceful setting, the view, how clean everything was, and the warm hospitality. The park is lush and clearly well cared for, with parking inside it, and the residence sits by the sea while still being an easy walk from the town center. This was our first visit to Country House Donnasilia, though Capo Palinuro has been our regular seaside destination for around 50 years, even for quick trips. We found plenty of reasons to come back. The staff were professional and kind, looking after the rooms, breakfast, shared spaces, and aperitifs when requested. Breakfast includes table service for drinks and a buffet of homemade cakes, yogurt, fresh or dried fruit, and artisanal jams. You can ask for savory items too. Aperitifs with local flavors are available on request, and guests can also enjoy a complimentary taste of typical Cilento cuisine. There’s no elevator in the main building, but independent rooms overlook the sea and are conveniently reached from the park. It’s a much appreciated place for anyone after quiet, comfort, a little refinement, and above all, simplicity. Thank you.

We stayed in the Ginestra room for two during the last week of August. The hotel is surrounded by nature, and its position midway between the center and the sea meant we could walk into town and avoid too much driving to the coast, though both are a few kilometers away. The staff were really friendly, and service and location are among the hotel’s best points. Breakfast was a definite bonus, and having a charging station on site was great for our electric car. The room and bathroom were both spacious enough. Our small frustrations were that the data connection didn’t work at all and towels weren’t changed often. The tourist tax has to be paid in cash. I’d rate it 4.5 stars if I could.
