A nice place.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and always available, and the apartments are clean and equipped with what you need. One of the two rented apartments has a lovely sea view. The location is handy too, with the town center and Ficocella beach both reachable on foot. Still, the lower price compared with nearby places makes sense. There’s no air conditioning, and the ceiling fan is noisy and doesn’t do much. The bedrooms get warm in summer, and the furniture is basic, functional, and dated. Guest parking is outside in a reserved area and costs €10 a day. Street parking is €1.50/hour, so the reserved space works out cheaper over a full day. I don’t think it’s good value, especially in a summer destination like Palinuro, which is already expensive for what it offers.

At least we only stayed two nights, though we were three people. The rooms were spacious, but there was no air conditioning, plenty of noise from outside, and no shelves in the bathroom. For three, the price was high for the quality. The parking space cost €10 a day, and another guest took it. The local police were stationed around like hawks. The staff’s response to our comments was touching. Still, thank goodness it was only two days. I really don’t think we’ll come back.
