Agriturismo Bio Fattoria Bacio

We had a fantastic holiday here, with plenty of peace and a good setting for children. The Fattoria has its own very cute donkey, which came to greet us every day, and there's a small chapel too. We stayed in Casa Dante, which suited our group of seven well. It was clean, air conditioned, and had a kitchen and terrace. The big villa is amazing and has a billiard room. The staff were really friendly and flexible. Breakfast is small, but had everything we wanted. Dinner was good as well, with a three-course menu and a few choices. The Ragù and Ossobucco were delicious, and the pool was cleaned every day. It's a wonderful base for discovering the beauties of Tuscany.

The setting and the view are lovely, and the restaurant food was good. But the apartment itself was very basic, the dishwasher and oven didn’t work, it wasn’t very clean, and bugs kept getting in. It’s a shame that problems don’t seem to get fixed or looked after properly. On rainy days, eating indoors meant no view and a rather uncomfortable atmosphere. The price felt completely excessive, and children pay the same as adults. There’s also a lonely-looking donkey who seems happy to see guests, but that’s about it. We won’t be back.

Simona was such a lovely owner, always around to help and check that we had what we needed. The property sits in gorgeous scenery and felt like the perfect break from work stress. We were greeted by the cutest calls from Garibaldi the donkey whenever we arrived. And do try their wine, it was lovely.

We came for our honeymoon and had a really enjoyable stay. The views are breathtaking, and both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious. The hosts were very friendly, too. It’s a rustic place, so anyone expecting luxury may want to look elsewhere. Its location made it easy to get to San Gimignano, Certaldo, Florence and Siena.
