Hotel Commodore

The rooftop was a highlight, and for a three-star hotel it was really nice. Breakfast was good and the location was nice too. The rooms are simple, with small bathrooms, and the cleaning could’ve been a little better. Staff were helpful and nice.

The food was great, the coffee fantastic, and there’s a spa on the roof. Service was professional too. I’ll come back.

Dinner had plenty of choice, including vegetarian dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. Breakfast was generous and well stocked, though the croissants seemed pre-cooked rather than from a bakery, which was a shame. The restaurant is across the street from the hotel, and it’s convenient and well organized, with friendly staff. We stayed in June and had a great time. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, and I especially liked the large selection of books. I also appreciated the eco-minded choice not to air-condition the entrance. Coming back from the beach, you don’t get hit by the chill you often find in other hotels. Our room felt small, with no dresser or shelves for T-shirts and other things. The bathroom was spacious, but there weren’t enough hooks: two for shower towels, and nowhere obvious for face or bidet towels.
