Hotel San Giorgio

A quiet place.

We’ve been here three times now. It’s peaceful, the lunch and dinner are amazing, and I’ll definitely be back again.

We went for a mini-break at the end of June 2025, staying with our dog. The hotel is geared toward making guests happy, and the friendly staff give it a real family feel. Our room was clean and had what we needed for a relaxing stay. Meals were good and plentiful, with a generous central buffet. The outdoor pool is spacious, with a hot tub and wellness area. The beach is close by, reached along a path through the pine trees. Thanks again to all the staff for a really pleasant few days.

Our stay got off to a bad start at arrival. The staff spoke to us in an arrogant, bossy way and insisted that we leave our bags in the car until after check-in, even though they had already been unloaded. They made no effort to understand, and that welcome gave us a very poor impression of the service. The room was tiny even though we paid extra for a quadruple. We were given a triple room with a bunk bed, so the added charge seemed pointless. The air conditioning barely worked: after running nonstop for four days, the room was still unbearably hot. There was no air conditioning in the shared areas either, and the elevator felt so much like a sauna that we took the stairs even to the fifth floor. Breakfast coffee was poor, so we ended up paying about €40 for extra coffee at the reception bar. We also weren't told at check-in that parking cost €10 per day. When we raised this, staff claimed they had told us and that it appeared in the fine print on page three of the Booking document. That was not clear communication.
