La Settima Apartments

The location was a real plus: the beach was under five minutes away, good restaurants were nearby, and the center was just a short walk. The apartment could be really nice, and it was clean, though I couldn't tell if the many floor marks were dirt or just blemishes. Picking up the key at reception in the nearby hotel was easy enough, but the information there was very unclear. They seemed most concerned with collecting the tourist tax. We had to ask for the Wi-Fi password, and the house was described as yellow even though it was plain white, making it harder to find. There was only one key for two people, and no gate key at first, even though we needed one to come and go. When we asked at the hotel, the woman initially said to call the lady from the other app for the whole vacation. We eventually got a gate key. The kitchen was shockingly poorly equipped. There was only one dinner knife, the pans were badly worn and scratched, and most other things were missing. There were juice glasses, coffee cups, and plates at least, so we bought a few items to be able to cook. The shower holder was broken, making showers uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi barely reached two bars when it worked, kept cutting out, and failed in most places. The mattresses were so hard that I couldn't get restful sleep, and I came home from vacation feeling more tired than ever. The washing machine worked, but its rubber seal was jet black, and there was no clothes rack. Outside apartment 6, the area was neglected, with weeds and cigarette butts left everywhere. I also wrote twice before arrival with a booking question and never got a reply.

The apartment was just so-so and didn't have much equipment, and the parking spot the owner had promised turned out not to be available for that unit when we arrived. The owner himself was very kind, but at that price I've had better vacations.

Just a few steps from the sea and the main amenities, this is a very nice building. The apartment had all the comforts we needed, including a TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, an elevator, a big balcony, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Highly recommended.
