Hotel Gioiello

The bathroom setup made showering impossible: there was only a hand shower over the toilet and a shower curtain. Our room was 10 degrees Celsius when we arrived and had a musty smell. We couldn't sleep at all because loud music from a nearby nightclub went on late. In the morning, only a waitress was there to take payment, so we had to go back.

The location and the view were the only real bright spots. We stayed in mid-August 2025, and the room and terrace were adequate, but the bathroom was a mess: tiny, with rusty faucets, mismatched tiles, and just a curtain instead of a shower tray, so the whole room would flood. Dinner came with strict rules. Arrive after 8:00 PM and you were met with rudeness and served reluctantly. The portions were tiny, the quality barely adequate, second helpings weren't allowed, and we had to eat quickly because staff were rushing to finish service. Dessert and fruit salad never changed. When our fruit salads came only after three reminders, despite ordering right away, staff blamed us and said maybe we hadn't ordered them. Breakfast was sparse and repetitive. You had to ask for cold cuts, and the portions made little sense: one person got two slices, while two people got just one slice more than that. The owners' manner was unpleasant too. The evening before we left, they reminded us at the table to pay as soon as dinner was over, and they didn't even say goodbye when we left. Sadly, the whole stay was disappointing.

The staff were really kind and friendly, and I had a great time on my short holiday with friends last year. The half-board restaurant food was good, and I especially enjoyed it. Our room was adequate and had a little balcony. There's a very basic outdoor pool and a small hot tub. If I remember right, you have to ask reception to switch it on. The hotel is close to the sea and offers sun loungers on the nearby beach, though it's a bit far from Cesenatico's center. I recommend it.

Lunch and dinner were good, but breakfast needs better quality and more variety. The bread was defrosted from the day before, and there wasn't any savory option. Our room was clean, though the beds were tiny and the rooms small. When I told reception I couldn't fit, they smugly said I was shorter than the bed, despite what my ID said. After 9 pm, motorcycles made the streets below the balcony particularly noisy.
