Hotel Caravelle

We had a great summer holiday in August at Hotel Caravelle in Valverde-Cesenatico. Max, the owner Massimiliano, was extremely helpful and willing to do whatever he could to meet guests' needs. The pool was fantastic, beyond what I imagined, and the food was delicious. The hotel was very clean and well managed, with kind, helpful staff. Parking was free and spacious, and the price was lower than at many other hotels in the area. I highly recommend staying here on your next holiday.

When I arrived for the last three days, neither the lift nor the air conditioning was working, and the furniture was old and dirty. My wife and her friend had brought the children for a summer holiday, but they had a very stressful time with the hotel manager and the people running the beach used by hotel caravelle. The managers shouted at them after they accidentally took someone else's sun loungers, treating them disgustingly instead of calmly sorting out the mix-up. The kids weren't allowed to be kids, and the evening entertainment advertised on the hotel caravelle and hotel ambasadori websites was full of lies. In the afternoons the same songs played over and over, and the entertainers looked bored to death. We'd never experienced anything like it.

The buffet had plenty of variety, with excellent first and second courses, and breakfast included a broad choice of sweet and savory food. Service in the dining room was excellent, with waiters quick to meet every need. Our room was cleaned meticulously each day. The hotel is just a few steps from the sea and a huge pool, with a separate area and entertainment for children. Many thanks to all the staff for making this week such a lovely holiday. The staff made this place special. The front desk were always smiling, helpful, and attentive, even when we made some demanding requests. Everyone in the restaurant was exceptional and kept smiling, even with grumpy, annoying guests. And Massimiliano, Max, was always around the guests, listening and even pitching in personally. His kindness and knowledge were unique. By the end, we thought of him as a friend, not just the owner. Thank you, Max, for all you did for our family. We loved the food: the buffet was always full and carefully prepared, with different first and second courses at lunch and dinner each day, plus three choices to pick from. The room was spacious enough, tastefully furnished, and spotlessly clean, as was the whole property. Linens were changed almost every day and towels every day. The dining room was roomy, with good space between tables. Outside, the building has more character than the usual anonymous seaside hotels. The location is perfect, on a quiet tree-lined street close to the sea. We stayed a week with my wife and daughter and would come back again and again, only to this great hotel. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, wholeheartedly. If you visit Cesenatico and don't stay at Hotel Caravelle, you'll miss out on a wonderful holiday.
