Hotel Plaza Chianciano Terme

The hotel is clean, though it feels like the 1960s, and that part was still OK. What made me want to leave and never return was the manager, or whatever her role was. She repeatedly YELLED at people in my group of about 25 just because someone asked for another croissant at breakfast or a second, blade-thin slice of meat. I learned that “BASTA!” means “ENOUGH” in Italian. I've never felt so humiliated. I don't recommend staying here. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from.

Too expensive for what they offer.

I can't give this place a better rating when the accommodation barely gives you a place to sleep. The bread was so hard that anyone with weak teeth could lose them on it. For breakfast, I'd rather buy food from a store, where at least I could choose what I like instead of eating the same cheese and salami for three days. On our last day, the internet was switched off and there was no hot water, so people wouldn't use too much. It's sad. They don't deserve a better rating, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

We came at the end of September on an organized trip with 32 people, and left very disappointed. The place is very old and dirty, and needs renovation. There was only one elevator for all of us, and, to make matters worse, no hot water. I went to reception, but nobody spoke French. There wasn't a French-language channel either. I won't return to a hotel that doesn't deserve its stars.
