Cascina Brunod

The view over Canavese is gorgeous, the air is fresh, and Ivrea is only ten minutes away. Maurizio and Lara gave us such warm hospitality that it’s hard to fit it all into a review. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and they’d prepared everything for our special request before we arrived. Breakfast was generous, with local organic products. We spent four nights and enjoyed lovely chats, and maybe a few extra glasses of wine, with the Brunod family. This is exactly the kind of genuine B&B hospitality I hope to find when I travel.

The welcome was fabulous, and the owners were warm and generous with suggestions for meals, outings, and things to see nearby. The location is lovely, with a beautiful view, and breakfast was fantastic: cakes, muffins, Nutella, and jams, made by them with local ingredients. The rooms are very nice, especially the largest, and feel warm and freshly renovated. The mattress was extra firm, and the door didn’t block much sound, though fortunately the area is quiet. Everything else was top-notch. Congratulations.

We spent one night in a room for four, with two adults and two children. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom lovely, and the details thoughtfully handled. Most of all, the owner and his lovely family were so helpful and kind that we felt right at home. I highly recommend it.

A lovely place for relaxing, with charming hosts and beautiful rooms. If a holiday by the lakes is what you’re after, this is a great fit.
