Hotel Al Soffiador

The hotel is clean and about 10 minutes from Murano to Venice. The building itself isn’t in great condition, and the rooms are very small. I gave it five stars because of how wonderfully attentive the staff were. Fabianna spent 40 minutes finding suitable ferry services for our early morning flight, then sent a packed breakfast to our room since we were leaving at midnight. Thank you.

Right in the center of Murano and close to both ferry stations, the location is fantastic. It’s a clean, quiet family hotel with super friendly staff. It had everything we needed.

Murano has its own attractions, and it’s much quieter and less crowded than Venice. There are lots of little restaurants and cafes just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the dock, though there are closer docks, and we ended up using a different one. From there it’s only a short boat ride to the attractions. I’m glad we stayed on Murano instead of Venice itself. The hotel was perfect for our Venice trip. The room was a good size, air conditioned, and had a nice bathroom. The shower was a little small, but otherwise fine. Breakfast was better than I expected, and there’s also a little cafe-restaurant attached to the hotel with pretty good food. The place itself is rather small, though I’m not sure how many rooms it has. I’ll look for it again next time.

We had to check out early, and the staff packed breakfast for us to take along. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, a coffee maker, and a TV. They even provided complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. Murano Faro or Murano Colonne boat stops are a 5-10 minute walk away, with boats running around the clock into the heart of Venice. We had a great stay.
