We bought groceries and were mostly self-sufficient, thanks to the large fridge. Breakfast was just instant coffee and tea, though there was a kettle and a capsule machine too. We stayed to visit Basilica Superga and Turin, and the place was good value for what we paid. It’s a spacious room, practically a whole apartment, in a small, secluded complex. The setting was quiet, with parking right outside the house, until the neighbors used the balcony that runs alongside the bathroom. They stayed out there talking loudly and partying late, so getting a good night’s sleep was impossible. It was also extremely hot. A fan, or air conditioning, would have helped a lot. The mosquito screens on every window were a real plus.

The Wi-Fi code only arrived on our last day. We had to use all our 4G to plan the rest of the trip, and breakfast was hardly a start to the day: a few slices of toast to heat ourselves, three kinds of jam in a plastic bag, and bad coffee. There was no fresh bread, anything to put on it, or sweet food. There’s no kitchen either, so we couldn’t make something ourselves. Getting in and out was a hassle from the start. We couldn’t get in at first, and then at 5 a.m. a drunk neighbor came into our room. Nobody apologized. People outside were noisy too. After that awful first night, the gate was suddenly locked, so the next morning we had to climb over it to leave. The landlord couldn’t be reached. We called and sent so many messages asking how to access the property and which room was ours, but got nothing back. In the end, the girl next door helped us communicate with him. We never saw or spoke to the gentleman. I really wish I could give this 0 stars.

The coffee machine looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and the sheets had already been used. They smelled bad.
