Barbara's Rooms

The location is beautiful, with everything in town within walking distance. Our room was cozy, nicely furnished, and clean, and the staff were really polite. That's about all I can say for the good parts. There is no parking at the place. You have to use a communal car park a kilometer away. Since it's a small place, you book a breakfast time so they can get things ready for the other guests too, which is reasonable. But when we arrived at our slot, all we got was coffee from a Dolce Gusto machine, then we had to go to Lidl to buy food. I can't accept that 15€ PER PERSON should mean just three boiled eggs, six slices of meat, three slices of cheese, two raw Lidl bagels, two burnt Lidl croissants, and two cherry tomatoes for three adults. It wasn't enough even for three children. One child might manage it as a snack. There were no complimentary coffee or tea bags in the room. We did get 750ml of orange juice made from syrup, at least it was cold. None of us had a phone on us to take a picture of that snack being served as breakfast, though it felt like the guy working there might start a fist fight if he caught you taking photos. The rooms are cozy and have a nice vibe, but that doesn't automatically make them good. The exposed brick wall in a building that's 300+ years old didn't make me feel comfortable or happy. Termites had eaten the ceiling's supporting beams, and exactly three new beams had been added for support. To be fair, I'd seen pictures of the room, but it hadn't looked that dire. I'd also read reviews calling the breakfast excellent, so maybe some of them were fake. We were lucky to stay only one night and leave soon after the embarrassing, abysmal breakfast. You get all that for 160€. Enjoy your stay.
