Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Italy, and there’s a sauna as well as gym equipment. The owner recommended a nearby place to eat, and it was very good. We visited in low season, so dinner wasn’t offered on site, and it would have been nice if the pool had been open.

We spent the evenings back at the B&B, relaxing by the pool and hydromassage after watching the sunset. Dinner was perfect, and the nights were completely quiet. Maurizio and Valeria are excellent hosts, backed by a wonderful staff, and the chef deserves a special mention. If you’re after peace in the Tuscan hills, this is a great fit. Nearby there are wineries and wine shops in an area known for excellent reds, including Brunello di Montalcino, plus medieval villages, good Tuscan food, and the woods of Amiata. Siena is a 40-minute drive away, and there are cycling trips to enjoy too.

What stayed with us most was the warm welcome from Maurizio and Valeria. We enjoyed chatting with them over dinner, where the chef’s skill and the quality of the ingredients really came through. Nearly everything came from the garden. It’s a lovely example of caring for the local area and nature through real work and affection. Thanks as well to Greta and everyone on the restaurant and breakfast teams. A big heartfelt hug from Maurizio and Mara. The property is beautifully maintained, right down to the garden and a small wooded area reserved for guests. The pool and outdoor Jacuzzi are lovely, and our spacious room had every comfort. We appreciated the ceiling fan instead of air conditioning. There’s so much more I could say, but everything about our stay was positive.

Greta deserves a special mention for her kindness and friendliness, and for helping us choose some lovely places to explore in the Maremma. We spent four days at this peaceful oasis in the Tuscan countryside and had a perfect stay. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, whether you’re exercising in the shaded fitness area, swimming in the pool, or just enjoying the quiet outdoors. We tried the garden vegetables at lunch, and the tomatoes were fantastic. We only had dinner on our last night, which we regretted because it was so good. Highly recommended!
