Cosmo Hotel Palace

The breakfast was quite good, and the place was reasonably clean. The location isn't ideal, though it could suit people arriving by car. Most of the staff came across as rude, but it was manageable. The rooms felt very basic and almost hospital-like, with worn mattresses that seemed more than 15 years old. The hotel also feels stuck in the 1990s, without any major updates, and the ventilation barely worked.

I stayed here on 27 January 2025 for a business trip because of the location, and I wouldn't choose it otherwise. Basic things were missing from the room: no glasses, plates, or cutlery. When I asked, the bartender said, “This is not an apartment.” He was dismissive and arrogant, like the front desk receptionist, a bald, middle-aged man with a white beard, who was confrontational and openly aggressive. The staff came across as unprofessional and rude. This place calls itself a four-star hotel, but it didn't meet even three-star standards. After recently staying at a real five-star hotel in Florence, the difference was embarrassing. It's not suitable for business travelers or anyone expecting basic hospitality. Strongly not recommended. I won't be back.

The room was freezing in the cold season, and the air conditioning was awful. The beds sagged and were incredibly uncomfortable, with no plugs by them. There weren't even ceiling lights, so the room felt dark and unpleasant. The bathroom was old and poorly looked after, and the room looked nothing like the online photos. For what the facilities offered, the price was far too high. A huge disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it or come back. 1/10.

The food was great, and the staff were attentive and helped with everything. The price and service were good too. The rooms are old, though, with some mold and plenty of damage, so the hotel really needs renovating.
