Staying in a real trullo for a few days was an amazing experience. It’s a magical way to enjoy Puglia’s culture, out in the countryside but still close to the main towns, including Ostuni, Alberbello, Cisternino and Martina Franca.

Avoid this place. It was awful, run down, falling apart, and nothing like the quaint trulli elsewhere in Puglia. The resort is basically someone’s garden, and there were random mattresses and other mess around the pool. The pool was green and unusable, and the toilets beside it smelled as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. At 120 euros it was a rip-off. Breakfast was by far the worst we had in Puglia: stale bread, old cheese and ham, and coffee so bad it was undrinkable. We had booked four nights but left after one and found somewhere else, because staying longer would have ruined our trip. For the same money, you could find a lovely Masseria or a much nicer air bnb or Trulli. They wouldn’t take credit cards, so we had to get cash, and they didn’t provide a receipt. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
