The outdoor space is lovely, with a beautiful garden, a good-sized pool, an outdoor kitchen and lots of seating. Inside, the bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen is equipped and comfortable. The design is unique and mostly pleasant, though there are a few too many accessories. The acoustics are problematic. Despite our requests, the jacuzzi wasn’t heated enough for us to use it. There’s no indoor seating area apart from the dining table.
Seven of us stayed at Trulli Almaviva, and we’d definitely consider returning. The resort is magnificent, tastefully furnished and set on generous land in the lush Itria Valley, where trulli dot the countryside and rosemary hedges frame the many little gardens. There are spacious rooms with private bathrooms, plus two outdoor dining areas, one beside an outdoor kitchen that made us want to cook local dishes. Two chefs in our group took turns showing off: fresh orecchiette with turnip greens, fresh pasta with eggplant, artichoke risotto and Ligurian-style rabbit. Enough said, before everyone gets hungry! Thanks again to the kind "Carmela" for her warm welcome and friendly manner, and those beautiful eyes. Luigi and the French gang. PS. In Martina Franca, we recommend the Conte pasta factory, which we’ve raided many times!
The owners personally run this exceptional resort in the Cisternino countryside, and their attention to guests is clear. The restoration is high quality, modern comforts fit naturally with the character of the place, and the furnishings and ongoing maintenance are excellent. A truly premium experience.
